Patton's Speech to the Third Army
When America entered World War 2, things were honestly getting out of hand. America and the allied forces were not sure whether they would be able to win the war or not. General George S. Patton was one of the military leaders during the entire campaign. He was a gifted military mastermind and an excellent motivational speaker. He gave different variations of his speech to the Third Army, but the one he gave to the Americans right before D-Day was the most memorable one. The language that he used was coarse and very abrasive because he was speaking to soldiers and honestly, thats just the way he talked. He was a proud American from generations of soldiers and he expected every other soldier to have the same pride that he did. He used this pride to inspire his soldiers to get ready for battle and to use their pride as a fuel to keep their spirits high. He made references to the fact of how Americans love to fight and wining at anything they do whether it is sports or war. People fed off of what he said and took it to heart. After the speech, D-Day occurred on the beaches Normandy, France and Germany began losing the war. Many of Patton's men died, but his words spurred on the soldiers throughout the war until America and the allied forces prevailed.

Good, but talk more about the language choices and why they mattered. Also, a picture and/or link would be nice.
