Taking Rhetorical Criticism to the People!

What do we do here?
People who write about rhetoric
(don't leave me yet!) have to take what they discover to people outside of clean, temperature-controlled, white-walled classrooms. The study of rhetoric matters; it doesn't just matter because academics care about it. It matters because what rhetorical critics write about is the stuff of everyday life, about what we are asked to value, accept, and believe.
Who writes here?
The people who will be adding to this blog have selected topics that they care about and want to share with others. They are all learning about rhetorical criticism and how we can discover "what's going on" in the speeches, films, TV shows, and culture all around us.

Sometimes they will write about things that happened a while ago; sometimes they write about things that are more recent. All of them, however, are writing about something worth knowing. It's not all "save the world" kind of stuff, but taken in total, it will change how you see the world.
